Competition horses are given the utmost care to ensure that they are healthy and fit for endurance events. THE flight started off on a worrying note. As our plane was preparing for take-off, news filtered in that bad weather at our destination had caused an earlier passenger aircraft to abort its landing and turn back to the KL International Airport.
Nevertheless, that news did not worry the crew of our Royal Malaysian Air Force Lockheed C-130 Hercules one bit. Fondly referred to as “Charlie”, the C-130 is the workhorse of the RMAF and has been the main tactical airlifting plane in most military forces worldwide for decades.
