Abu Dhabi Arabian Nights' Endurance Ride
OREANA -- While the world was host to the Olympics in Athens this past month, Idaho was host to an event of Olympic-size stature in the world of equine endurance in the small town of Oreana.
The U.S. International Equestrienne Federation (FEI), in conjunction with the Abu Dhabi Emirates International Village (an endurance racing facility in the United Arab Emirates), came together to host the Arabian Nights Endurance Ride. This ride was the final qualifying ride to choose the United States Endurance team for the World Championships which will be held in Dubai in February, 2005. In addition to selecting members for the U.S. National team, this ride was also a national and international competition.
